Six clients have now contracted for the new TeamCard membership and access solution based upon online barcode technology; they are Sheffield Wednesday FC, Bolton Wanderers FC, Millwall FC, Carlisle United FC, Hull Kingston Rovers and Bradford Bulls.

The football club system installations were completed during July and August and all have successfully passed the operational acid test of the first games of the season with flying colours. The Rugby League clubs are set to go for the new season start this winter.

Two of the deployments were at existing clients Bolton Wanderers and Millwall who upgraded after eight seasons with the first-generation product. They must still like us!

The most significant of the new club wins is undoubtedly Sheffield Wednesday with almost 100 access gates operating under the new B-TED solution. This firmly establishes TeamCard back at the top of the innovation game demonstrating that the new technology is more than capable of managing one of the biggest UK stadiums.

What is even more significant is the improved functionality and the dramatically reduced capital cost of the solution when compared against the opposition's smart contactless systems. It is no idle boast to state that the return-on-capital invested on TeamCard now looks positive against two-years operating costs of a smart contactless system.

Food for thought for an industry feeling the pressure in the current recession.
