Chelsea, as one of the biggest brands in football, proved to be an exacting customer for Scotcomms. Our challenges included replacement of a flawed access control process and provision of a secure membership media that would consolidate disparate databases and could be electronically accessed by management and adapted for all customer types (Season tickets, members, VIP’s etc.), and doing so for a very high profile client.
Appointed to carry out the work in February 2001, the entire solution and stadium infrastructure were to be in place by June 2001. The solution had to seamlessly replace all previous card technology, to be integrated with the membership and ticketing systems, all cards were to be issued, personalised and encoded by mid-July. The project was delivered on budget and on time.
Chelsea has remained a customer to this day, despite changes of ownership and key staff. Our branded solution TeamCard has grown from an initial year 1 card number of 36,000 to 115,000 cardholders in the current season.
